Who is Amber?

As one of the top athletes for the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team, Amber Peterson continues to strive for her best performance and achieve her goals. Starting at the young age of four, skiing was an activity that Amber always enjoyed.  At eleven years old she followed in her brother's footsteps joining the Thunder Bay freestyle ski team and shortly after,  she realized that she wanted to make "flipping and twisting" a part of her life. Her competitive trampoline background gave her the insight on her potential, which led her to her true passion, aerials. The coaches and support in her journey were, and still are, an immense inspiration that guided her to where she is today. Along with her excellent work ethic and determination in sport, Amber is a good-natured, compassionate individual who tries to improve in all aspects in her life, molding her into the athlete she aims to be. With the Vancouver 2010 Olympics just around the corner, Amber continues to overcome the obstacles and enjoy the process of consistently improving in order to peak at the Games.
